Her field work spans reef systems throughout the Pacific and Caribbean. She has also been a long-time editor of technical publications and systems documentation spanning research, enterprise, and consumer organizations.

Her hands-on product testing and attention to technical detail pairs strongly with Dr. Lewbel's editorial work and together they have logged over 500 dives covering dive site analysis, equipment testing on regulators, dive computers, buoyancy systems, underwater lighting, strobes, and emergency gear.

Hannah is a retired volunteer firefighter and certified EMT, with field experience in emergency systems evaluation relevant to dive safety coverage and travel medicine.
